Information About our Organization (A.Y.O.C)

1. History:

The Africane Youth Organizing Committee (A.Y.O.C) a non-governmental organization has its history to be that, the youth whom the future of our country and our wonderful continent Africa depends on, need to be up and doing by contributing their quota in all the sectors of the economy. But with much attention to the educational sector, health sector and socio-economic sector believing that these sectors would immensely raise the image of Africa Continent when handle well.

2. Projects Dedication:

All designed projects are dedicated to some Excellencies who have at least contributed their quota towards Africa, or their respective countries have ever helped in up-liftment of mother Africa image or assisted we the people of Africa be it in social Development, improved living conditions, peace and democracy, governmental finance assistance, education etc. Also, the dedication is extended to two outstanding sons of mother Africa. The dedicated Excellencies are;
Her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, The Late Pope John Paul II, Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela and Kofi Anan. A.Y.O.C. Long live them all.

3. Projects:

Three major projects have been designed by A.Y.O.C. for execution and they are;

1. Youth Employment Project:
     Aim to reduce poverty on some more unfortunate Africans.
2. Needy Youth/Children Acquiring Education Project:
    Aim to reeducate illiteracy among Needy children.
3. Youth AIDS prevention project: This project has three progammes ;

a. HIV/AIDS Patients Living Fund (HAPL-Fund) Programme:

  Aim to support AIDS patients financially.
b. Youth AIDS Club Formation Programme:
c. Annual Advocacy on AIDS Prevention.

4. Our Mission:

Generally, A.Y.O.C mission is to help reduce and relief the burden of less unfortunate youth / children interms of Employment, Education and Health.

5. Target Group:

The organization main target group are children / youth ranging from 4 years to 39 years. But every specified project has its main range of target group.

6. Expected project coverage Areas:

At the moment, AYOC operate in Ghana as the commencing/starting zone is Ghana.

7. Collaboration:

Currently, A.Y.O.C collaborates with Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana, Ghana Education Service and National Youth counsil - Ghana. Not withstanding these; A.Y.O.C has a work plan to collaborate with UNAIDS, World Health Organization, International Labour Office and other international organizations which would be deem important with respect to A.Y.O.C projects.

8. Affiliation:

A.Y.O.C is a member of Ghana HIV/AIDS Network (GHANET ) and Coalition for Child Right. Furthermore, A.Y.O.C intend extending its affiliation to other international bodies / agencies.

9. Our Vision:

Is to ensure A.Y.O.C solid existence and optimum operation so that the Positive Impacts of its projects will at least cover ten (10) Africa countries.
